Information on the 3 bedroom cottage # 2: (Non-Smoking cottage, new for 2007)

This large 3 bedroom cottage is situated directly on the beach : There is a small covered patio-deck with  a Bar-B-Q; it is really a pleasant place to sit, eat or watch your family play on the beach.
The large kitchen-salon is 26 feet long, the kitchen cupboards, are in white  grained melamine. There is a large family size fridge-freezer, micro-wave and what every vacationer wants, a dishwasher!
There are many small appliances, an electric blender, toaster, kettle, automatic coffeemaker even an electric frypan for those family brunches.
The oval table in solid maple extends to accommodate many diners.
A fondue & wok set, wine, champagne & brandy glasses also candles for those quiet suppers are to be found the cupboards.
There is a television with satellite T.V. and stereo, DVD/CD. and a selection of card & crib games for your enjoyment during those rare rainy days!! A glass doored fireplace is is very comforting on those chilly winter nights, wood is provided, stacked just outside the door.
The 3 bedrooms consist of;  a master bedroom with a king size bed and a small fold-a-way bed stored in the closet. The second bedroom has a double bed and  a large wall bookcase with an ample selection of many best-sellers in english & french including many childrens and comic books also. The smaller bedroom has two single beds; ideal for children!
All bed-linen,towels and beach towels are provided.
The bathroom, complete with bath/shower has a hairdryer, vanity closet complete with emergency toiletries. (even a sewing kit!)
You can spend a day canoeing or kayaking on the lake, exploring the many islands or hunting for old Indian artifacts from the many deserted beaches, or just simply splashing around the bay with your children in one of our paddleboats. We have 2 sailboats,and a new windsurfer but for experts only !

A fireplace is on the beach for those quiet summer evenings with the family, toast marshmallows, hot-dogs for the kids or simply watch the flames with the lake in the background.

In winter ski in the backwoods on the 10km of cross-country ski trails , or go off the beaten track with snowshoes, 3 km of backwood well marked trails awaits you. You can put your skis & snowshoes on outside your cottage door, the trails are just a few minutes away.Try you hand at ice-fishing, we will lend you one of our fishing huts. ( all equipment supplied free of charge )
Duparquet has quite an unusual history, there is a permanent exhibition with many early photographs in our local town hall. Should you visit, you are invited to view this collection at your leisure.  We hope you will consider Abitibi as your vacation destination; we want you to experience a real sense of adventure.
