1-Q ...We have never rented a cottage over the internet before, how can we get some assurances

that its all that it says on the web site, we don't want any surprises when we arrive ?

A... We have been personally inspected by the classification branch of "Tourisme Québec" and

we were rated 3 stars out of 4 in April 2006, please also feel free to call the local government tourist office

toll-free at 1-800-808-0706 or e-mail (Canada & U.S.A.) they will also be happy to send you an

Abitibi-Témiscamingue tourist guide free of charge to help you plan your visit.

2-Q... Can I bring my dog or cat ?

A...Your dog is welcome providing you clean up after it and make sure it stays around your cottage without "visiting" other clients. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms for health purposes; also please do not allow your dog on the sofas and chairs as dog hair is very difficult to remove from the fabric. If we notice that a dog slept on a bed, we will be obliged to present you a bill for a commercial cleaning.

Cats are not permitted now as we have found too many people suffer from allergies.

3-Q... l suffer from allergies and always book a non-smoking hotel room when l am traveling,

l cannot stay in a cottage that smells from stale cigarette smoke, what can you do ?

A... All 4 of our cottages are strictly NON-SMOKING.

4-Q... Can my children swim safely in the lake without motor boats & sea-doos coming in close ?

A... Our bay is very quiet and private, it is not near a public marina, should any of our clients bring

a motor-boat they are given strict instructions where they can safely come and go without any

danger to bathers.

5-Q... We have never used snowshoes or cross-country ski's before, can we get a simple lesson

and how much will this cost ?

A... It will be a pleasure to give you a few quick tips, and also, if possible, to take you and your family

on a guided tour of one of the trails behind the cottages at the first possible opportunity

(free of charge !).

6-Q... We have never been kayaking or canoeing before, can we get some lessons and

how much does this cost ?

A...Again, all is included, we will give you a 10 minute lesson, if it is your first time

on water, and make sure that you feel secure before you explore the lake on your own.

A...Yes, There is a general store 7 minutes away in the village, they also have an "in store butcher".

8-Q... If I make a reservation, how do I find you, can you give me driving directions ?

A... Yes, all driving directions are on my hard drive ready to send to you.

l have detailed directions from Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal & Timmins.

A... Yes, all parking areas are just outside the door to each cottage, all are private parking,

10-Q... Am l close to the next cottage, can they see me and my family having a meal on the deck ?

A... No, in summer no one can see from one cottage to another with the trees and woodland

11-... Do you have a sandy beach where our children can play? and can l bring video games to play on your equipment?

A... Yes, each cottage has it's own section of beach, we have tonka trucks and large beach lego blocks your children can play with in the sand, as for video games such as Playstation and Nintendo etc, we are sorry but we cannot allow you to change all the wiring we have set up in each cottage, many times when clients change the wiring we have had to engage a technician to correct it and this sometimes leaves our future clients without television for a few days, should this happen we will be obliged to bill you.

12-Q... Can we have day guests to share the sports activities with us, for an example, cross-country-skiing or canoeing ?

A... Day guests are very welcome to use any of the equipment they wish with you and your family but at the same time respecting the needs of the other clients.

If your cottage is listed for 5 persons and you are only 2 are renting it, you are welcome to have up to 3 overnight guests without any extra charges. We do not allow motor homes or campers as there are two camping parks nearby where your friends can park.

13-...You don't seem to have a telephone in the cottages, if l have an emergency where is the nearest telephone, does my cell phone work where you are? also is there anywhere l can get on the internet to check my messages ?

A...We have an outside cordless telephone you are welcome to use for free local calls, for any long distance calls we ask you to use a calling card or telephone collect. We now have a cellular telephone tower in our area, so you can use your cell phone from your cottage with exception of Rogers and Fido, they have no signal here!

We have a computer available for our clients in our office, you are welcome to collect your internet e-mail.
